South Oxfordshire

South Oxfordshire is a District in the County of Oxfordshire in England. Council is based in Wallingford; significant sights are Didcot, Henley-on -Thames and Thame.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Boroughs Henley-on -Thames and Wallingford, of Thame Urban District and Rural District, Bullingdon, Henley and Wallingford. The area around Wallingford previously belonged to the administrative county of Berkshire.
