South Sudan Football Association

The South Sudan Football Association ( SSFA ) is the Football Association in southern Sudan. It was founded in 2011 and joined the CAF in 2012 and the same year of FIFA. The South Sudan Football Association is therefore the youngest member of FIFA.

Foundation

In April 2011, prompted the South Sudanese Minister of Youth and Sports, Makuac Teny Youk that the Provisional Football Association should be established to manage the football to South Sudan.

Memberships

In February 2011, the CAF President Issa Hayatou said the following to the possibility that South Sudan could join the CAF:

On 8 February 2012, the CAF if the SSFA published that the members of the CAF would discuss could be another member of the association.
