South Wales

South Wales (English South Wales) is a region of Wales, bordered to the west and north from the rest of Wales to the south and east by the Bristol Channel.

South Wales includes the cities of Swansea and Cardiff in Glamorgan, City Newport in Monmouthshire, Brecon Beacons National Park and the county of Monmouthshire. The Australian New South Wales is named after the area. It is structurally weak today, though some places have above-average economic growth.
