South Yemen national football team

The südjemenitische football team was the national football team of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen ( South Yemen ). It existed from 1965 until 1989. After South Yemen was united with North Yemen to the present state of Yemen, the national team went on in the Yemeni national football team.

The südjemenitische team took part in the Asia Cup in 1976, where they lost 0-8 against Iran and against Iraq 0:1. For a world championship, the team failed to qualify.
