Southern California Open
The WTA San Diego ( officially: Mercury Insurance Open ) is a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour, which is in San Diego County, California, discharged. Since 2011 the venue for the La Costa Resort and Spa in the city Carlsbad.
The WTA took the tournament from the 2010 season on their tournament calendar. It is part of the U.S. Open Series, which is regarded as preparation for the U.S. Open.
