Southfields tube station

Southfields is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the Wimbledon Park Road, in the middle of a quiet residential area. In the year 2011 there were 5.26 million passengers these from the District Line station. Approximately 1.2 km south-southwest is the site of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, venue of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

On 3 June 1889, the opening of the station by the Metropolitan District Railway (MDR ), the predecessor company of the District Line was.
