Southland Rugby Football Union

Southland Rugby is the national rugby union Provincial Association for the Southland region of the South Island of New Zealand. The selection team of the Association in the national championship ITM Cup bear its home games at Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill.

Southland was six times previously in the possession of the Ranfurly Shield, in the years 1920, 1929, 1937, 1938, 1959 and 2009.

Player of Southland are eligible to play in the international Super Rugby League and are summoned by the Highlanders.
