Southwest Division (NBA)
The Southwest Division is a division in the North American basketball league NBA, which is divided in the Western Conference and comprises five teams.
At the start of season 2004/2005 were caused by the expansion of the entire league from 29 to 30 teams ( the Charlotte Bobcats joined the NBA in ) in the Western Conference to a lot of teams for only two divisions. The teams in the Pacific Division and the Midwest Division, which was dissolved as a result, were distributed to the Northwest Division and Southwest Division. In the Eastern Conference, the Southeast Division has been parallel imported.
