Sovetskaya Rossiya

The Sovetskaya Rossiya (Russian Советская Россия, German: " Soviet Russia" ) is a Russian newspaper that was founded in 1956.

By April 1966, it was the organ of the Bureau of the CC of the CPSU for the RSFSR and of the RSFSR Council of Ministers, after the newspaper of the Central Committee of the CPSU since January 1, 1974 organ of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Supreme Soviet and the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR.

In 1990, the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR his own newspaper Rossijskije westi ( Российские вести ) out and the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR founded The Russian newspaper ( Российская газета ). This Sovetskaya Rossiya was a pure party newspaper.

The chief editor Tschikin (since 1986) converted the newspaper to a 1990-91 opposition sheet against the governance. In both leaf numerous articles critical of the government and manifestos (such as a word to the people ) of the national- communist opposition have been published. Currently, the sheet called independent People's Daily.
