Space (Ibiza nightclub)

Space is a nightclub on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

The club was founded in 1989 by Pepe Rosello, which began in 1963, his club career with the founding of the Playboy Club in San Antonio. At this time, the first pilgrimage to Ibiza hippies. The mid-1980s, long after nightclubs, Pacha, Amnesia and El Divinio had opened, he recognized the trend toward large discotheques and finally opened the space.

The nightclub is near Ibiza Town directly at one of the most famous beaches of Ibiza, Playa d'en Bossa with the corresponding free beach disco Bora Bora. Since the space now belongs to one of the more popular nightclubs on the island, the entrance fees are placed accordingly for this.

The Space was known that it opens its doors only in the morning at 8:00 clock, ie when most of the clubs closed. The Spanish authorities have enacted stricter laws, the club since the 2008 season, however, may not open until 16:30 clock, the doors close at 6:00 clock.

The Space received at the International Dance Music Awards were named Best Global Club in 2005, 2006 and again in 2012.

During the summer months of 2000 the German techno club every Thursday was a guest from June 22 to September 21, 2000.
