Spain at the 1956 Summer Olympics

Spain participated in the equestrian games of the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Stockholm, Sweden, with a delegation of six athletes (all men) at four regular competitor. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was Carlos Figueroa (24 years and 189 days), the oldest athlete was Faustino Domínguez (51 years and 38 days). It was the eighth part of the country at the Olympic Summer Games. Standard-bearer was Francisco Gómez- Jordana y Prats, Count of Jordana.

On all other competitions of the Olympic Summer Games in 1956, which were held five months after the Equestrian Games in Melbourne, Spain did not participate in protest against the bloody crushing of the Hungarian uprising by the Soviet troops.
