Spanish garden

Spanish Garden is a garden design style, are incorporated in the Iberian Peninsula in the elements of Persian and Moorish gardens of the Al -Andalus period. It is symmetrical with a long water channel and a central pool as a central axis and is usually flanked by fruit trees and fragrant shrubs.

Characteristic are his coolness and moisture and the fragrance of its flowers, shrubs and trees. The garden type is adapted to a hot climate, the water makes its primary element dar. Constructional features include shady arcades and the systematic use of ceramics as a decorative element ( cf. Islamic ceramics).

Typical examples of Spanish horticulture are the gardens of the Royal Alcazar, the Maria Luisa Park in Seville and the gardens of the Alhambra in Granada ( see main article Generalife ).
