SPARC64 VI

The SPARC64 VI (codenamed Olympus) is the dual-core processor version of the SPARC64 V (codenamed Zeus). It can be a total of 4 ( SPARC64 V: 2) execute threads in parallel, consists of 540 million transistors ( SPARC64 V: at least 191 million ), measures 20.38 mm x 20.67 mm ( SPARC64 V: at least 18.1 x 16.0 mm ) is manufactured in a 90 nm process and consumes up to 120 watts ( SPARC64 V: at least 40 watts). Each core has a different balanced 2 x 128 KB L1 cache and an additional 128 Kbyte address cache for jump predictions, two cores also have a 6 Mbyte L2 shared cache ( SPARC64 V: at least 2 MB ).

In July 2008, the SPARC64 VII (codenamed Jupiter) appeared at 2.7 GHz. This is the quad-core version of the SPARC64 V. The SPARC64 VII should be compatible with the SPARC64 VI bus.
