Sparta (rocket)
Sparta or Redstone Sparta was the name of a rocket consisting of a Redstone medium-range missile as a primary, Antares rocket as a second and a BE- 3 as the third stage. The Sparta was 1966/1967 started in Woomera nine times to re-entry tests. The tenth, remaining as a replacement rocket during re-entry research program, Sparta was the Australian Weapon Research Establishment (WRE ) made available to bring the first Australian satellite, Wresat on 29 November 1967 in orbit.
