Spartan South Midlands Football League

The Spartan South Midlands Football League is an English professional football - regional association for the area of Hertfordshire, the northwestern Greater London, parts of Buckinghamshire and southern Bedfordshire.

History

Today's Association is the union of several football associations, which the eldest, the Bedfordshire County League, had its origin in 1922. Following the extension of the association area in 1929 also on the surrounding counties, the association changed its name to South Midlands League for the first time. In 1997, the Association joined with the London Spartan League together, resulting in the association area again significantly expanded and changed the name again to the current name Spartan South Midlands Football League.

Game class structure

The Association is organizing three is divided into the National League System leagues. The highest of these three divisions, the Premier Division, located on the ninth level of the league system. According to the current main sponsor of the league is currently referred to as Molten Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division. On the tenth and eleventh level of the league system, the Division One and Division Two are located.

The master of the Premier Division advance to the Isthmian League Division One. The worst clubs in the Division Two descend into playing various sub-regional football associations. The association also organizes two more feature classes for the reserve teams of the participating clubs, the Reserve Division One and Reserve Division Two, but they are common, not integrated as in England in the league system.
