Spatial Data Transfer Standard

The Spatial Data Transfer Standard ( SDTS ) is a from the United States Geological Survey (USGS ) created container data format for geographic information, where all unused by USGS information can be stored. A SDTS file contains information about the data stored therein, so that appropriate display programs can determine all the parameters for a meaningful representation of the data.
