Spean Thma

Spean Thma is a historic bridge in Angkor ( Siem Reap province, Cambodia ), formerly crossed the Siem Reap River and 200 m east of Thommanon is. Its modern name is " stone ". It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The materials come from temples dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. The building was liberated and restored in 1920 by Henri Marchal on behalf of the École française d' Extrême -Orient from overgrowth.

The supporting width of 1.6 m piers are made of stacked bricks. In between 14 per 1.1m wide arches span with narrow Kraggewölben. Spean Thma was formerly part of the road between Angkor Thom and the Eastern Baray and is obtained from a few bridges from this period.
