Spectrochimica Acta

Spectrochimica Acta is a scientific journal that publishes articles in the field of analytical chemistry and is now English, French and German published by Elsevier in the languages (with summaries in English). The name " Spectrochimica Acta " today is actually no longer in use, as the magazine was already split into two parts in 1967, namely, Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy Spectrochimica Acta Part B and Atomic Spectroscopy. The Part A was called until 1995, " Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy".

The first issue of " Spectrochimica Acta " was in 1939.

Spectrochimica Acta Part A

The magazine " Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy" (formerly " Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy" ) currently appears five times a year. It deals with the themes molecule or Biomolekülspektroskopie, with emphasis on electron, vibrational and rotational spectra ( rather than on electronic interactions or magnetic moments ).

The impact factor according to the Journal Citation Reports was in 2012 at 1,977. The journal will appear in the statistics of the Science Citation Index to 18th out of 43 journals in the category " spectroscopy ".

Chief editors are currently JM Bowman ( Emory University), JR Durig ( University of Missouri ), W. Mäntele ( Goethe University Frankfurt ), and B. Ren (Xiamen University).

Spectrochimica Acta Part B

The magazine " Spectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy" published articles in the subject area spectroscopy, such as: AAS, AES, AFS, LIS, MS and XRF / TXRF.

The impact factor according to the Journal Citation Reports was in 2012 at 3,141. With this impact factor, she took in the statistics of the Science Citation Index Place 8 of 43 journals in the category " spectroscopy " and was thus ten places before Spectrochimica Acta Part A.

Chief editors are currently MTC de Loos - Vollebregt (Technical University Delft) and N. Omenetto ( University of Florida ).
