Speed ​​Poker is a live version of Texas Hold'em, which was inspired by the online poker. It is a relatively new variant that is played during the Asia- Pacific Speed ​​Poker Championship and at two major television tournaments: the World Speed ​​Poker Open and the Poker Dome Challenge MANSIONPOKER.NET. The Card Player Magazine anticipates the development of the Speed ​​Poker at the Australian Keith Sloan. Although you can theoretically play any poker variation in speed format, only the Texas hold'em variant has prevailed.

MANSION Ltd. acquired the rights to Sloan's concept of Speed ​​Poker and left guard MANSION Speed ​​Poker as a brand.

The rules are identical to Texas Hold'em. The differences are mainly to be found in time, the players have to make decisions. Each player has 15 seconds to play his hand before it is fit or pushed. Each player also has an additional 30 seconds extra time they may use in a game of their choice. In MANSIONPOKER.NET Poker Dome Challenge is the game before the Flop Pot Limit, No Limit after the flop, however, at the World Speed ​​Poker Open is always played No Limit.

As with any poker variation, the rules of poker speed may vary depending on the tournament. However, Keith Sloan has established three basic rules:

  • At each table sit six players and two Dealer
  • Each player must make his train in 15 seconds
  • If a player fails to carry out his train within the time limit, so the hand is folded or pushed

At a speed poker tournament is first played at multiple tables until only 36 players remain. The last 36 players to take with their collected chips to the next round.

The six chip leaders are divided in six different tables, just as the six players with the next highest six chip stacks and so on, until all 36 players are spread across six tables.

The winners of the six tables get to the final. In the final, all players start with the same number of chips.

All players will receive at least one ( depending on the rules of the tournament ), " Time Breaker " button, which grants the player an extra time of 30 seconds.
