Spencer Hawes

Spencer Mason Reynvaan - Hawes ( born April 28, 1988 in Seattle, Washington ) is an American professional basketball player. He plays the position of center.

College

Hawes played for the Washington Huskies, the basketball team of the University of Washington. In college, he was the best scorer of the team with 14.9 points per game and thus the tenth best scorer in the Pacific -10 Conference.

NBA

Hawes was selected in the NBA Draft 2007, 10 out of the Sacramento Kings. In his first season he played 71 games and was eight times in the starting lineup, he played an average of 13.1 minutes. He reached an average of 4.7 points, 3.3 rebounds at a field throw percentage of 45.9 %. In his second NBA season Hawes was a regular player at his position, since Brad Miller was transferred to the Chicago Bulls. However, the season ended early for him, as he had suffered a knee injury.

For the 2010/2011 season he was traded by the Kings along with Andres Nocioni to the Philadelphia 76ers. In turn, Samuel Dalembert joined the Kings.

For the 76ers Hawes ran until February 2014. Shortly before the end of the transfer deadline, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In return, the 76ers Forward Earl Clark, and two picks in the upcoming draft received.
