Spencer Johnson (writer)

Spencer Johnson (born 1 January 1940 in South Dakota) is an American author, speaker, consultant and management expert. He is best known for his fable The mice Strategy Manager, which is on the New York Times bestseller list.

Life

Johnson studied psychology at the University of Southern California until 1963 and then received his doctorate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Later he worked as medical director for communications at Medtronic, known for their pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, heart valves and insulin pumps. He was also a research physician at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies. Currently, Johnson lives in New Hampshire and Hawaii. His latest book is ups and downs. Johnson's books have been translated into 26 languages.
