Spent mushroom compost

Cham Post ( also mushroom soil or worn mushroom growing media called ) is the professional mushroom cultivation used. In this substrate mushrooms are grown under controlled climatic conditions. The substrate serves primarily as a moisture retainer.

Predominant component in the substrate production is horse manure. Depending on the price level, and regional availability of chicken manure, straw, lime and peat be mixed. Per tonne contains Cham post average:

  • 340 kg dry matter
  • 200 kg organic matter
  • 45 kg calcium
  • 6.9 kg nitrogen
  • 4.1 kg phosphate
  • 9 kg potassium
  • 2.5 kg magnesium

Regulations

In terms of the fertilizer ordinance Cham mail shall be considered manure (animal excretion ), whereby the nitrogen contained therein shall be credited toward the ceiling.
