The Ordinary Langbauchschwebfliege ( Sphaerophoria scripta ) is an insect of the family of hoverflies (Syrphidae ). It is also referred to as Common Langbauchschwebfliege or Common Stiftschwebfliege.

Features

The flies reach a body length of 9-12 mm and have an elongated, very slender physique. The face is brightly colored yellow and has a dark center hump. The mesonotum is black and wears yellow side stripes, which extend to the labels. This is dull yellow colored and hairy yellow, the legs are yellow. Way of life
