Splicebox

A splice box or splice is starting or ending a case in the multi-core fiber optic cable. Splice boxes are the "end " of a fiber link, in which the individual fibers or fiber optic cables are fanned.

Construction

The central components of a splice box are the splice tray that houses the fiber optic cable as well as their reserve, and the front panel in which there are different fiber optic connectors. To these then the patch cables are connected to relay the signals. The splice tray and the front panel is removable to facilitate the splicing of optical fibers to the pigtails (one-sided assembled with fiber optic connector fiber optic cable).

To facilitate the installation of the cable splice trays already integrate newer splice, splice tray, adapters and pigtails. So-called hybrid splice not only allow data transmission over copper cable ( RJ45) or optical fiber, but also the energy supply. This is especially necessary when a splice box are not installed in a wiring closet, but also hard to reach places indoors and outdoors.
