Split (poker)

The split pot (English for share split ) referred to in the card game poker, a situation which is held by at least two players have the same strong hands. As a result, the pot will be divided equally among the winners. In other words, one could say that there is a split pot when the showdown between two or more players ends in a draw.

The split pot should not be confused with the side pot. This describes the situation when a poker player wants to put all his chips, so he goes all in, but want to put at least two opposing players for that amount. Then an additional pot is parallel to the main pot (main pot) set, called side pot.

Examples

In this case, both players have an equal combination, namely two pairs ( aces and jacks ) with 10 as a kicker. The pot would be split between these two players.
