Ice cold escapes is the title of the third feature-length film of the U.S. animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. The film was released directly to DVD and aired on U.S. television shortly thereafter. In Germany, the episode was first seen on 5 December 2009 on Nickelodeon.

Action

The restaurant ' Krusty Krab ' celebrates its tenth anniversary. Fry cook SpongeBob, Squidward cashier and owner Mr. Krabs are doubly excited that day, firstly because of the celebrations, secondly because of the risk that the valuable Krabby Patty formula is stolen. To prevent this, Mr. Krabs has hired a security officer: Patrick, the starfish. Through a mishap SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs and Squidward to be included in the fridge and can only by a ventilation shaft to come out. There they meet on plankton, which starts to steal the formula its 1004th attempt. Meanwhile, the customer at the Krusty Krab be restless, eventually they leave the diner. SpongeBob can free his fellow prisoners and bring them back into the restaurant. There, Mr. Krabs starts crying because no customers are there, SpongeBob begins to sing and all the inhabitants are returning to dinner.

Background

SpongeBob SquarePants is broadcast on television since 1999, ten years later, this film has now been produced. Not only is the restaurant, which occurs since the first episode, but the entire series is celebrating its tenth anniversary. It is the first TV movie of the series, which was shown in 16:9.
