Sport (Spanish newspaper)

Sport is a Spanish sports newspaper published daily, which has its headquarters in Barcelona ( Catalonia ). It was first published in 1979, has a daily circulation of over 180,000 copies ( Number of pages: 56 Price: 1 euro (2008) ) and is part of the Grupo Zeta, which still sells numerous other newspapers. The largest competitor is also based in Barcelona newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Center of gravity

The focus of the paper is on the coverage of the football club FC Barcelona ( Barça ). Local rivals RCD Espanyol takes only moderate attention. Reporting on other Spanish football teams is very critical, especially against Real Madrid, also due to the Erzrivalität between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
