Sportfive

Five sports (own spelling SPORT FIVE ) is a company based in Hamburg international sports rights marketing agency with a worldwide network of company locations and subsidiaries.

History

The company was formed in 2001 from a merger of the sports marketing division of RTL Group and Sport , a subsidiary of the French Canal Group and Groupe Jean -Claude Darmon. In 2004, the private equity firm Advent International took over the sports rights agency, before the company was acquired in November 2006 for an estimated 865 million euros from the French media group Lagardère. Since then, Sports Five is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lagardère Unlimited.

Divisions

The Sports Marketing Group covers the entire spectrum of sports rights marketing, from trade with international television rights to stadium advertising, shirt sponsorship, stadium development and hospitality activities. In addition, Sport Five offers many consulting services and regularly publishes comprehensive market media studies and recent research results.

Marketings

Five Sports was the exclusive agent of the Match Hospitality in Continental Europe for the sale of the Official Hospitality Programme for the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC ) has Sportfive with the exclusive marketing of television and new media rights in Europe entrusted ( with the exception of some core markets ) for the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. With the German Ski Association is a cooperation agreement for the race in the FIS Alpine World Cup and the World Cup Ski Jumping competition on German soil - except for the Four Hills Tournament. In addition, Sport Five is also represented in the sports of handball, basketball, rugby, triathlon, tennis and motorsport.

In Germany, Sport Five is responsible for the overall marketing of eight Bundesliga clubs ( Hamburger SV, Hannover 96, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FC Augsburg, Hertha BSC and 1 FC Nuremberg ) and 1 FC Kaiserslautern, Dynamo Dresden responsible and VfR eels from the 2nd Bundesliga.
