SportinÄ— Aviacija LAK-19

The LAK -19 is a glider by the Lithuanian producer UAB Sportinė Aviacija.

The LAK -19 is a high performance glider for the Standardklasse/18-Meter-Klasse. It is derived from the LAK - 17a - the flaps were frozen in the neutral position, the wing-fuselage transition has been adjusted. Winglets for the 15 m version or for 18 m span, for proper connection.

Construction

The LAK - 19 is a mid-wing monoplane in fiber composite plastic construction with retractable landing gear and water ballast tanks in the wings. She is certified to JAR22 - category "U". The hull is made of the materials Kevlar, carbon and glass fiber reinforced plastic. The single wing weighs about 55 kg and has a LAP92-130/15 profile that goes up to the surface peak in a LAP92-150/15. The LAK -19 has automatic control connections (similar to DG ), a fold-up hood with the instrument panel and a sprung suspension, which is optional but only supplied with hydraulic disc brake. The water ballast system combines 180 L in the faces and 7 L in the rear tank. For the Canopy there is a central hood release handle on the instrument panel. As standard, all LAK gliders are equipped with a PU coating.

Approvals

The LAK -19 on 26 September 2003, the German type certification and on 5 August 2004, the pattern EASA certification obtained ( A.012 LAK -19). Actually approved operating time: 3000 hours ( Easa 6 November 2008). Manufacturer's warranty of two years or 200 flight hours - whichever comes first.
