Geography

Geographical Location

Spraitbach is located on a ridge about 11 km north of Schwäbisch Gmünd, 539 m above sea level. In a Talbucht which protrudes from the south to the settlement area of the capital, created the eponymous Spraitbach which drains about three kilometers to the south in the flax.

History

Spraitbach, which was first mentioned in 1298, originally belonged to the land territory of the imperial city of Schwäbisch Gmünd. In Spraitbach there is a primary school and a kindergarten. The main school of the local government association and a secondary school located in Mutlangen. Secondary schools are available in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
