Spremberg Wind Park

F2

The wind farm Spremberg is a plant for the production of electrical energy from wind power. It is located about five kilometers from the center of Spremberg away in an easterly direction. The unused area in parts of the city forest of Spremberg, situated on a hill and therefore offers ideal conditions for the operation of these facilities.

Owned by the fund company Ampere Equity Fund. She has acquired the entire plant in April 2009 by the WSB New Energies GmbH Saxony, which had emerged in the tenders for the construction of the wind farm Spremberg under 21 applicants as the winner.

The park consists of nine wind turbines of the type of transit countries FL -2500 with a hub height of 141 m and a rotor diameter of 100 m. The installed electrical capacity is 9 × 2.5 MW, for a total of 22.5 MW. That should be possible to supply about 60,000 people with power. Per year is expected to generate electricity of about 55 GWh. After completion, the wind farm Spremberg is the highest lattice tower wind farm in the world. The temporarily highest individual wind turbine lattice tower of the world stands in Brandenburg Laasow.

The wind farm Spremberg forms a vivid contrast to the be located within sight of lignite power plant Schwarze Pumpe.

According to current plans, the wind farm is to be extended by a further eight plants from 2012. [ Deprecated]

Construction

In 2003, the territory of current wind farms Spremberg was designated as a Site for wind turbines. On the final height, there were between the operating company and the city Spremberg to last different views. The city Spremberg demanded that the wind turbines do not exceed a total height of 180 m. The WSB New Energies GmbH, which had emerged as the winner of the tender under 21 competitors, but held on to the original plans to build wind turbines of up to 195 m height. It was only in December 2006 decided instead to give the Spremberger city council, the required total height of 195 m. In January 2008, the foundations for the planned nine wind turbines were manufactured. With the establishment of the lattice mast structure which has a weight of 350 tons, was launched in September 2008. The first lattice boom, still without nacelle and wing, was on 12 September 2008. On October 6, 2008, this was the already mounted on the bottom parts, such as rotor, nacelle ( with generator, gearbox, transformer and complete control ) and rotor blades, which together have a weight of about 60 tons (rotor) and 96 tons ( gondola ) have completed.

On 17 April 2009 it was announced that the WSB New Energies GmbH had sold the wind farm Spremberg 100% of the Dutch fund company Ampere Equity Fund. After all acceptance tests were successful, the wind farm Spremberg was put into operation on 19 May 2009 with a symbolic network connection. The total investment amounts to approximately 35 million euros.

Special

The data required for the wind turbines blades with a total length of 50 m had to be transported through the marketplace of Spremberg during delivery through the city center. This way made himself necessary as all other access roads not had the required turning radius.

For the installation of the wind turbines in the largest mobile crane in the world car was used. Its construction will take about two weeks and the required parts are distributed to 30 heavy goods vehicles.

Disorders

On September 8, 2010, there was at the substation of the wind farm to a transformer fire, bringing the total investment was up to October 13, 2010 out of service.
