Spring Hill is a city in Maury County and Williamson County in the U.S. state of Tennessee. In 2000, Spring Hill had 7,715 residents; until the official 2009 estimate, the population had grown to 27,369.

Spring Hill forms with Thompson 's Station, a double -knit town with independent administrations. While Thompson 's Station complete in Williamson County ( Franklin capital ) lies, lies Springhill each about half in Maury County ( Columbia capital ) and Williamson County.

History

Spring Hill was on November 29, 1864 scene of the Battle of Spring Hill during the Civil War.

Thompson 's Station, the site of the Civil War and on March 4, 1863, the Battle of Thompson 's Station was also, has 1723 inhabitants (2008 ). Of these, 91.19 % White and 7.01% African American and 1.8 % other ethnic.
