Sprite (soft drink)

Sprite was originally a lemonade, that is, they contained water, sugar and lemon juice. It was created in 1966 as a flavor " Clear Lemon " by Fanta and Sprite was 1968. The name Sprite, which literally means " goblin " means consists of the words sprinkle ( " splash " ) and lite ( "light" ) together. Along with Coca -Cola and Fanta Sprite is one of many worldwide Coca -Cola brands. Today it contains no more lemon juice, but only citric acid and flavors, and acidity regulator and preservative. The ingredients are the manufacturer of water, sugar, carbonic acid, citric acid, flavor and acidity regulator sodium citrate.

There is also the offshoot Sprite Zero ( Sprite Light until May 2005 ), in which sugar by artificial sweeteners sodium cyclamate ( E952 ), aspartame (E 951) and sodium saccharin (E 954) were replaced. In the U.S., there's also Sprite Remix, which has a cranberry flavor and Sprite Ice Cube ( eg Belgium ) with peppermint flavor. In the U.S., the company Sprite Green has brought out the specificity of this drink is that the active ingredient of Stevia plant is used as an alternative sweetener. This drink, the company sees as a prototype of a new generation of beverages as Coca -Cola has since filed 24 patents on stevia drinks.
