Sprung Aus Den Wolken

Jump From The Clouds is a band from Berlin. It was founded in 1980 by Kiddy Citny. Citny is up to the present head of the band, which often had alternate members, among them were Alexander Hacke, Jochen Arbeit and Peter Prima.

In the early 1980s, the band was part of the Berlin " Ingenious Dilettantes - motion " and appeared in 1981 at the "Festival Ingenious Dilettantes " on. Together with mechanics Destrüktiw Komandöh and Einstürzende Neubauten, they toured in the same year as "The Berlin disease" by West Germany.

Jump From The Clouds, first published in 1981 an EP in zigzag, 1982 and 1983 was followed by further publications on the in-house record label " Faux Pas ", then to 1991 on the French label Les Disques Du Soleil Et De L' Acier. The song " Pas Attendre " was part of the soundtrack of Wim Wenders' film " Wings of Desire ".

With the end of the Neue Deutsche Welle also changed her style. The minimalist crossover from New Wave, Industrial and dub more stronger techno influences. After 1991 was heard little of them for many years. After a series of new and re-releases of older material since 2004 on the label Vinyl on Demand and Klanggalerie but the band is officially active again since 2009 Renault Schubert member.
