SpVg Aurich

The Sports Association (short: SpVg ) Aurich is a German sports club based in East Frisia.

History

At high school and teacher training college, and the two men gymnastics clubs football was played in 1902. In 1909, the first football association was founded in Aurich, two years later, on July 14, 1911, the sports association emerged from the. Artisans and the government at that time Vice President counted equally among the founders. 1921 and 1922 won the first team the East Frisian football championship. In the 20 years the Sports Association had the largest and most successful youth section of East Friesland.

In 1938 the club had to make a temporary merger with the MTV Aurich in 1862 under the name TuS Aurich of 1862. In the 1943/44 season the club competed in the Gauliga Oldenburg- Friesland and finished the season in fifth place in the table. The following season was shortened due to the war, so that only three games could be completed. On March 13, 1951, the SpVg Aurich was re-established as a pure football club. Five men and six youth teams started the new season. Five district championships the A- youth 1951-1961 confirmed the value of systematic youth care. Community life and his organization has been varied over the years. A senior group was also founded as a women's gymnastics department, from 1997 emerged the women's football department. Since 1982, support a conveyance with advertising and sponsorship partners the club. The result include an artificial grass pitch and a private youth home.

After the temporary descent into neuntklassige county league Aurich / Witt mouth succeeded in 2012 to rise again in the district league.
