SpVgg Neckarelz

The SpVgg Neckarelz is a sports club from the Mosbacher Neckarelz district in the north of Baden-Württemberg. The association founded in 1921 as FV Neckarelz consists of the departments ball sports, football, gymnastics, handball, gymnastics children, wheelchair sports, table tennis, the Promotion Group Gymnastics and Sports Badge.

Most famous are the division playing in the Regionalliga West soccer player who already participated twice the DFB Cup. In the first round of 2009/10 they met with the German record champions FC Bayern Munich. The game was due to the lack of seating capacity in the domestic Elzstadion in the Rhein- Neckar- Arena in Sinsheim instead. Between 1974 and 1980 the team played in the ( until 1978 third class ) Amateur League North swimming. 2010 succeeded SpVgg as a master of Association league promotion to the fifth rate Oberliga Baden -Württemberg, in 2013 again. Than master of the Oberliga promotion to the fourth-rate Regionalliga Southwest

Their home games wearing the SpVgg Neckarelz since 1963 from the Elzstadion. The stadium holds 4,500 spectators, of which 1000 covered standing places.
