SQ3R

The SQ3R method means an application developed by Francis Robinson method for effective reading.

Importance

The letters SQ3R stands for the sequence in which the reader should take a ( scientific ) paper note; abbreviation are meant Survey, Question, Read, Recite and Review.

Pros and Cons

Benefits

The information recorded with the SQ3R method is much better knowledge stored in memory, because a lot of initiative and elaboration is anchored in steps. Thus, the probability of correct knowledge query is higher than the "normal " reading. With practice, this can be effective method to extend to all areas of knowledge.

Disadvantages

This method is initially expensive and time-consuming. Many steps are happy together and so lose efficiency.
