Srebrenik
Srebrenik is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality Srebrenik with just under 43,000 inhabitants belongs to the Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Geography
Srebrenik is located about 95 kilometers north of Sarajevo, as well as north of Tuzla on the road to the Valley of the Brčko Tinja. East of the city extends the mountains Majevica.

History
The castle in Srebrenik is one of the oldest buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina ( 1333) and played a major role in the defense against Ottoman attacks in the Middle Ages.
From the Bosnian war of the 1990s, the community was affected only in the period from 18 to 21 June 1992.
Traffic
Srebrenik is located on the main road M 1-8 ( Tuzla-Županja/Kroatien ) and also has a station on the railway from Tuzla to Brčko.
