Sridevi ( born August 13, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu ) is an Indian film actress. She was one of the most successful actors of Indian commercial film of the 1980 and 1990s.


She began her career as a child actress in the South Indian regional productions and had already appeared in about 200 films, as she began to play adult lead roles. She has appeared in films of South Indian languages ​​Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, and since 1983 in Hindi productions. With Kamal Haasan made ​​them in 23 films one of the most successful screen couples of the South Indian cinema.
