Sridevi
Sridevi ( born August 13, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu ) is an Indian film actress. She was one of the most successful actors of Indian commercial film of the 1980 and 1990s.
Life
She began her career as a child actress in the South Indian regional productions and had already appeared in about 200 films, as she began to play adult lead roles. She has appeared in films of South Indian languages Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, and since 1983 in Hindi productions. With Kamal Haasan made them in 23 films one of the most successful screen couples of the South Indian cinema.
The resulting Hrishikesh Mukherjee 1983 movie Sadma, a film drama about a suffering from amnesia after a car accident woman, one of her first major lead performances in the Hindi film. My career highlight was in 1991 starring in the drama Lamhe Yash Chopra, she got for including a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
Following her marriage to film producer Boney Kapoor, actor Sanjay and a brother of Anil Kapoor, and the birth of two daughters, she moved in 1997 from the film work back. She currently hosts a 14täglich broadcast TV show and appears in television commercials. 2012 she managed a very successful comeback with the film English Vinglish. It was this 2013 winner of the Stardust Award.
Sridevi is a member of the Board of Director of the Asian Academy of Film and Television.
