Sriwijaya FC
Sriwijaya FC is an Indonesian football club based in Palembang and the reigning champion of the country.
History
The club was founded in 1976 under the name Persijatim Jakarta Timur, Jakarta. Due to financial problems the club was forced to move to Surakarta, but the financial situation improved little. The province of South Sumatra finally gave their consent to the acquisition of the club. In 2007, the first club win a title, by winning the Indonesian Cup and the Indonesian Cup competition was even the Double.
