The Eugenio C. was a cruise ship of Costa Crociere.

History

The Eugenio C. was laid on January 4, 1964 at Kiel. On 22 August 1966, the ship was handed over to the owner, it began ten years of trans- Atlantic flights between Genoa and South America. In the 1970s, passenger numbers fell significantly. As a result, the Eugenio C. was used as a cruise ship. 1984, the ship was extensively renovated and changed the name Eugenio Costa. In November 1996, it completed the last cruise for Costa Crociere. 1996 gave Costa Crociere, the ship at the shipyard Bremer Vulkan, to finance the construction of the Costa Victoria. The Bremer Vulkan sold the ship further. It was adopted in 1997 as Edinburgh Castle in use. Since 1999 it was called The Big Red Boat II, 2005, the ship began its last journey to Alang was scrapped there.
