The University of Skopje (full name: University "St. Cyril and Methodius " - Skopje, Macedonian: Универзитет ". Св Кирил и Методиј " - Скопје ) is the largest university in Macedonia.

The University of Skopje was founded in 1949, she is a member of the network of Balkan universities.

The range of subjects includes numerous technical, humanities, medical-biological and artistic disciplines, languages, social sciences, history, cultural studies, law, economics and agricultural sciences.

The university also institutes are outside the City of Skopje: In Stip is the Institute of Mining and Geology, as well as one of the two educational science faculties in Kocani the Institute for rice cultivation.

The Orthodox Theological Faculty Skopje was founded in 1977 belongs to the University since 2009 and has the status of an accompanying person.
