SSOT (satellite)

SSOT (Spanish Sistema para la Satelital Observación de la Tierra ) is a Chilean Earth observation satellite. He was taken December 17, 2011 from Guiana Space Centre on a Soyuz - 2.1a rocket with four Elisa satellites for the French military and the French satellite Pleiades -1A into a sun-synchronous orbit.

Payload

SSOT is an Earth observation satellite, and is capable of delivering four-channel multi-spectral images of the Chilean Ministry of Defence images of the Earth's surface with a resolution of up to 1.45 m in panchromatic and 6 m. The satellite has a mass of 117 kg, and is based on the satellite bus myriad of CNES. The main contractor was EADS Astrium.
