St Fagans National History Museum

The Museum of Welsh Life ( St Fagans National History Museum English, Welsh Amgueddfa Werin Cymru ) is an open air museum in Cardiff.

History

The museum was founded in 1946 with the foundation of the land and the castle of St Fagans ( 1580) by the Earl of Plymouth. It opened in 1948 under the name " Welsh Folk Museum ".

Description

On the site you can understand all eras of Welsh life from the Celtic village to the house of the future. These were buildings brought from all parts of Wales.
