St Levan

St Levan ( Cornish: Sen Selevan ) is a 9.7 km ² large municipality in the former Penwith District in the county of Cornwall in England. The parish includes the settlements of St Levan, Trethewey, Treen and Porthcurno and is located approximately 12.7 km to the west of Penzance. She is also on the Irish Sea and is bordered to the north by the municipalities of Sennen and St Buryan (at which St Levan once partly owned ). You can reach the place via the B3315 towards Land's End.

The Teilort Porthcurno is known for its unique bay with a sandy beach Pednvounder Beach and for its open- air theater Minack Theatre. From 1870 to 1970 this place was important for the Seekabelkommunikation. The closed installations can be visited in a museum today.

Every four years, the municipal council (consisting of 10 councilors ) elected by the people. Higher government agency in this field is the Cornwall County Council.
