St. Honoré cake

As Saint- Honoré cake (also: Tarte St - Honoré ) is defined as a pie of French cuisine, which has a base of puff pastry, as well as on baked layer of choux pastry with vanilla cream ( crème pâtissière / pastry cream ) coated and on the edge with caramelized profiteroles is occupied.

The cake was named after Saint Honorius of Amiens ( Bishop of Amiens ), the patron saint of bakers.
