St. Louis Bombers (NBA)

St. Louis Bombers was the name of a U.S. basketball franchise from St. Louis, Missouri, the 1946 to 1950 in the BAA, later the NBA, played.

History

The Bombers were 1946 Founding member of the BAA. During the three seasons in the BAA, the Bombers awake once the Conference titles and reached always the play-offs. In the 1947-1948 season they lost in the semifinals until the seventh game against the Philadelphia Warriors. In the first season under the name of the NBA Bombers denied the first season game against the Tri -Cities Blackhawks and won 72-51. After this season the club hired the operation of gambling.
