St. Mary's Cathedral, Windhoek

The St. Mary's Cathedral (English St. Mary 's Cathedral) in Windhoek is the cathedral of the Archbishop of Windhoek and most important church of the Roman Catholic Church in Namibia.

The Cathedral is through a courtyard and a staircase slightly increased by the Karl- Werner List Street, Windhoek - Central is open every day except Monday evening church services. It was built between 1906 and 1908 from local materials, and brick elements in the Romanesque Revival style. The east facing entrance façade consists of a covered porch with three arches and is crowned by a Säulengesims and a portico. The entrance façade is bordered by two square in plan corner towers that rise some 30 meters into the air. Both towers are each dominated by a large round window element and wearing a pointed tent roof made of copper. The interior of the cathedral consists of a nave and two aisles, with a westward semicircular apse.

The Mary's Cathedral is a landmark of the city of Windhoek and was declared by the then South West African Historical Monument Commission to the National Monument.
