St. Paul Saints (IHL)

The St. Paul Saints were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Saint Paul, Minnesota. The venue of the Mercury was the St. Paul Auditorium.

History

The St. Paul Saints were founded in 1959 and belonged to the International Hockey League game. In the first year the club was the Turner Cup, the championship of the IHL win. The following season, 1960/61, the Saints were able to defend the title. While the team's 1961/62 could once again reach the final and thus three times in a row was in the play-off final, the club could no longer qualify for the finals in his last game year.

At the end of the season 1962/63 the club was disbanded. One of the rivals of the St. Paul Saints, who are also playing in the IHL 1959-1963 Minneapolis Millers.
