The St. Petersburg- Clearwater International Airport is located a U.S. airport on the coast of Tampa Bay. He primarily serves the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, which also act as the namesake of the airport. The airport is now used for both cargo and passenger airlines as well as the U.S. Air Force.

History

The construction of the airport began in March of 1941, the inauguration took place shortly thereafter. The airport was initially used exclusively military, first civilian flights were carried out in the fifties.
